Purpose:
A recent legislation mandates availability of priority registration for all VA (Veteran Administration) benefit receiving students and requires reasonable accommodation to VA benefit students around course registration.
Background to the Project:
House Bill 2645 mandates public universities and community colleges to provide priority registration to veteran benefit students. Deadline for implementation is Sept. 15, 2016.
Objectives:
Academic regulation 25h has been inconsistently enforced at OSU. This project adjusts enforcements so that AR 25h points 2, 3 and 5 are aligned with how point 4 is enforced (via the degree audit).

In Spring 2020, OSU will implement Schedule of Classes: PATH. OSU purchased a suite of tools from LeepFrog Technologies which integrate with Banner, and each other, to provide a modern, long-term solution to the student registration experience. In Fall 2019, OSU will implement CIM, Curriculum Inventory Management, to replace the current Curriculum Proposal System. OSU purchased a suite of tools from LeepFrog Technologies which integrate with Banner, and each other, to provide a modern, long-term solution to the university’s curriculum and scheduling needs. Implementation of CIM will allow OSU to revise and improve the process of submitting curriculum proposals.
The Emergency Contact tells the university who should be contacted in case a student, staff, or faculty member is involved in an emergency. New students provide this information during START registration and current students may update the information in MyOSU. By completing the form, students grant OSU permission to contact the person they provide as an emergency contact.
