As part of the planned transition away from BI Query, our office partnered with IAR to develop CORE ad hoc lite reports to meet more users' data needs as many users will be using CORE in lieu of BI Query in the future. Three reports were developed and focus on transcript, degree, and registration data.

Our office developed a communication tool designed to target newly admitted students who will use VA education benefits or military tuition assistance at OSU.  The intake tool guides students through the steps to begin using their benefits at OSU, directs them to tuition programs for which they may qualify, and creates a secure and user-friendly way to submit critical information and documentation to the VA and Military Certifying Team.

In spring 2020, our office began offering PDF diplomas to graduates via our diploma vendor. In addition to offering the Adobe’s blue-ribbon certification to communicate authenticity, the service allows a recipient of the PDF to click on a link to verify the authenticity of the diploma in real time.

The transition to Institutional Awarding involved the updating of several commencement-related jobs including this one, which pulls names and addresses for the annual commencement postcard mailing. The job was updated to include not only those students who were graduates and candidates for graduation for the past year, but also the students graduating in future terms who had RSVP’d to the commencement ceremony.

Our office partnered with HR to create a nightly process where the preferred name field, which HR uses for employees, is populated with the DISP name type data from the student employee’s student record.

In order to help better serve students and advisors during the Spring 2020 remote term and beyond, the Office of the Registrar launched a Change of Grading Basis form in Online Services. This eliminated the need for the submission of paper forms.

There is a need to offer standalone undergraduate certificates utilizing the existing infrastructure at OSU. Students who are not ready to pursue a full four year degree undergraduate  program be able to apply for the certificate alone. Students seeking an undergraduate certificate (without pursuing a degree), may not be eligible for financial aid. Current ARs and other policies were updated to allow students to pursue standalone certificates. This project will have a second phase that will focus on assessing the first phase.

Replace all functionalities of R25 Scheduling system with 25Live.

This project migrated technical reports and jobs from Appworx to AWA. This included training for advising departments across campus.
