  • Approve your veteran priority registration

Getting Started: Setting up Your Benefits at OSU

Step 1:  Apply for admission to OSU

  • Apply to OSU
    • Admission Fee waiver available for undergraduate admissions for current service members and veterans.  Click on “Request Fee Waiver” in application.
  • Current service members, veterans, and dependents using VA education benefits may be exempt from paying the Advanced Tuition Deposit with appropriate documentation. 
  • Submit military transcripts for credit evaluation. More information can be found on the Admissions website.

Step 2:  Apply for Financial Aid, In-state tuition rates, and scholarships

Step 3:  Apply for VA Education benefits and/or Military Tuition Assistance

Step 4:  Complete OSU’s VA and Military Benefits Intake Survey to submit your benefit documents

Step 5:  Register for START Orientation and meet with an academic advisor

Step 6:  Learn more about using your chapter-specific benefits or Military Tuition Assistance at OSU.
