The current FERPA training includes only one training that does not adequately prepare different types of employees on their role-specific FERPA compliance.  The system is not set up to require refresher training, so employees are only required to complete FERPA training once.  The current training is outdated, as it does not include information about artificial intelligence (AI).

Oregon State University prides itself on enabling student success to achieve graduation. Timely course registration is critical for student success and on-time graduation. Two groups will be piloting a new process for placing and lifting holds.  Goals of the project include creating a secure and streamlined process that will enhance data integrity of registration holds and reduce barriers for student holds being lifted in a timely manner.

Utilize the systems we have to automate as much of the process as possible, move management of the web page to the Office of the Registrar, and ensure that the Academic Calendar is accessible.
