A message to the OSU community regarding the encampment on the Corvallis campus

From: University Relations and Marketing

To the OSU community:

We shared last week that an overnight encampment consisting of OSU and non-OSU community members began on the Memorial Union quad on the Corvallis campus on Wednesday, May 15. This encampment is associated with a national pro-Palestinian protest movement demanding colleges and universities take positions on foreign policy related to violence in Gaza, Israel and the region.

Registration problems- try an incognito browser

From: Office of the Registrar

Dear students,

We understand that many are currently experiencing registration problems with both summer and fall registration. Please know that we are doing everything possible to find a solution as quickly as possible, including working directly with the software company on this problem.

Currently, the best approach to successful registration is to use an incognito browser when attempting to register.

Title IX Regulations

From: Office of Equal Opportunity and Access

Dear OSU Community Members,

Since its passage more than 50 years ago, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 has had a transformative impact by creating access, fairness, and equity through the prohibition of discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities. While there is still much work to be done, we recognize the critical importance of our own compliance with this legislation as it evolves and of the real-world impact it continues to have here at Oregon State.

Registration challenges- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

From: Office of the Registrar

Dear Students,

The Office of the Registrar is aware that some students are experiencing issues with spring and summer registration. We are working diligently with our University IT partners to resolve these issues. The issues are affecting some, but not all, students and are likely connected to a student information system upgrade that took place on May 4, 2024.

How we are responding to the encampment on the Corvallis campus

From: Office of the President

Dear OSU Community Members,

I recognize that ongoing violence in Israel, Gaza and the region continues to impact Oregon State University community members. These are painful times for many.

You may be aware that a group of OSU and external community members set up an encampment early this morning on the Memorial Union quad on the Corvallis campus.
