The Office of the Registrar will be performing a comprehensive assessment guided by the American Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) Registrars Self-Assessment. This process creates a structure that allows for a deep review of practices, processes, and procedures. Additionally, looking at compliance areas, how our campus and community are being supported, and developing a future-oriented action plan.

In accordance with Senate Bill 233, the other public post-secondary institutions are establishing a common course numbering system for introductory and lower-level courses with similar learning outcomes.
A microcredential is a set of courses in a focused area of study. Microcredentials are narrowly focused on specific skills and competencies and when completed, provide validation of the skills and competencies achieved. Microcredentials are made up of at least three courses and eight credits. Typically, they are 8-12 credits, which is fewer credits than degrees and certificates and can be earned in a shorter period.
Microcredentials are awarded digitally through a badging system that can be shared with employers.
Office of the Registrar is a partner in this project with Academic Programs & Assessments to add all course learning outcomes to the Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM) software.
The obtainment of the CIM system that supports a robust submission and review process, will ensure consistent, level-appropriate, and measurable outcomes in all syllabi. In addition, the course learning outcomes provide important transparency for the transferability of courses for students and any potential accreditation needs.
