Dear OSU Students and Employees,

As the spring term and the regular academic year come to a close, it is important to acknowledge mental health awareness and well-being. We recognize that many members of our university community have faced challenges this year while striving to achieve their academic and professional goals at OSU.

Oregon State University remains committed to mental well-being and fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation. This involves engaging everyone in the conversation, creating a supportive community, and offering services and initiatives to address the mental health needs of our community and prevent distress proactively.

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) offers a variety of mental health services on the Corvallis campus, including short-term counseling, training to support others, and Anytime Anywhere, a mental health platform providing real-time chat, phone support, and educational content for Corvallis, OSU-Cascades, and Ecampus students. On the Corvallis campus, CAPS has created multiple positions for mental health and wellness coordinators with specialized expertise to serve the needs of Black and African-American and Indigenous students, LGBTQ+ students and veteran and military-connected students. These coordinators are in addition to counselors who are embedded in the colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Engineering, as well as OSU Athletics.

Student Health Services on the Corvallis campus has expanded its mental health care support through a collaborative program involving nurses, primary care providers, and psychiatry professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

OSU Assist provides immediate, compassionate crisis support on the Corvallis campus through a multidisciplinary team offering mobile crisis response and wraparound services for individuals facing mental health challenges or other forms of distress.

OSU-Cascades Student Health and Wellness is committed to connecting students with assistance both on and off campus, offering short-term individual and group counseling for current OSU-Cascades students, along with resources addressing environmental, physical, emotional, financial, sexual, and social health.

E-Campus offers various well-being resources for students attending OSU online.

Most support services are available over the summer. Please visit each resource's website for summer hours and additional information.

Supporting the mental well-being of all members of the university community remains a fundamental priority for Oregon State University. We wish you a successful conclusion to the spring term and a rejuvenating summer.
