OSU Student Update regarding Canvas

Dear Students,  

As you know, Canvas remains unavailable for OSU students and faculty at this time. Instructure, the vendor that operates Canvas, has begun restoring services following the outage, but OSU is validating the security and stability of the platform before re-enabling access.   

 We ask that you continue to follow any guidance you’ve received from your instructors and continue engaging in your studies as you are able—we know this is challenging if you are taking Ecampus courses. Please reach out to your instructor if you have questions about assignment deadlines or other aspects of a course that may be affected by this outage. 

Even as we work to re-enable access, we are also working on plans to support you in the event Canvas remains unavailable or unstable for a longer period (i.e., beyond today). We will share additional information if we anticipate the outage to continue into the weekend.   

 Please continue to check the OSU IT status page for information and updates about the outage.   

 We understand the impact this issue has on the community and appreciate your patience.
