From: Presidential Search Advisory Committee
Dear OSU Community Members,
I am pleased to share an update on the search for Oregon State University’s next president and invite you to engage in immediate next steps in the search process.
Earlier this week, the Presidential Search Advisory Committee met to discuss the plan for the search process, including its timeline.
The committee scheduled a series of listening sessions to be held from Jan. 11 to 20 with OSU faculty, staff, and students, university stakeholders and members of the general public. The meetings will help gather input regarding OSU’s strengths, the challenges and opportunities the university will face in the coming years, as well as the qualifications and attributes that the university’s next president should possess. This input will help to inform our recruitment efforts, including development of the presidential leadership profile, a document that will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Trustees later this month.
The sessions will be held remotely via Zoom and you are encouraged to participate. Input also can be provided via an online survey, which will close on Jan. 20.
Search updates to the presidential search website will be added throughout the process.
Thank you for your contributions to this important process, and for your continued engagement and service to OSU.
Sincerely,
Julie Manning
OSU Trustee
Chair, Presidential Search Advisory Committee
