Graduates,
From the bottom of my heart, congratulations. You did the dam thing, and you left your mark on Oregon State University while doing it. I hope OSU has given you the opportunities you needed and felt like a home throughout this journey. I can say with certainty that we wouldn’t be the same without you.
After Saturday, you’ll walk away with more than just a diploma. You’ll carry with you a collection of memories—moments that shaped you, challenged you, and brought you joy. These are the stories you’ll tell for decades to come. I’m so proud of us because together, we truly did the DAM thing.
College isn’t easy. Earning your degree is a huge accomplishment, and it’s one that took resilience, hard work, and heart. I have no doubt that you’ll go on to do incredible things. Wherever life takes you, Beaver Nation will be cheering you on.
As you celebrate today, I hope you do so in a way that honors everything you’ve achieved. We all celebrate differently, but we share a responsibility to keep ourselves and our community safe. That’s what it means to be part of Beaver Nation. We take care of one another.
When you step onto campus for Commencement, I hope you feel proud, supported, and fully present. To help make that possible, OSU’s usual policies, including the alcohol- and drug-free guidelines, will still be in place. These aren’t just rules. They help create a space where everyone can celebrate safely and meaningfully, surrounded by the people who matter most. This day is about you—your journey, your growth, and the memories you’ll carry forward.
Thank you for trusting me with your leadership and your voice. Serving as your ASOSU President has been the greatest honor. I’m beyond proud of what we’ve built together this year. Give yourself grace, celebrate how far you’ve come, and live your life boldly. I can’t wait to see you Saturday. And as always, Go Beavs!
With pride,
Audrey Schlotter
ASOSU President 2024–2025
