Project Summary
AACRAO recommends notating or communicating disciplinary separation to other institutions a departing OSU student plans to attend and designing a protocol around OSU learning said information from another institution. This should reduce the potential impact on safety and community standards, as well as the liability to OSU in both instances, from not sharing known information and not acting on known information.

Status Report
â–ş 3/19/26: The workgroup has documented the current state processes with students both leaving and coming in and will be discussing next if and how we will notify other institutions of outgoing student disciplinary separations. After that, there will be a discussion of how to handle receiving disciplinary separation information coming in across the university, which will involve General Counsel.
