From: Office of the President
Dear OSU Community Members,
Please join me on Wednesday, April 26, by participating in Dam Proud Day, Oregon State University’s annual day of giving hosted by the OSU Foundation.
This fun philanthropic tradition enables each of us to support university programs and student success initiatives that personally inspire us. Please participate in Dam Proud Day online and at in-person events and consider making a contribution. More than 80% of the programs featured during this 24-hour event will benefit students directly, with the balance supporting university priority programs and initiatives. Employee, student, donor, alumni and OSU community member engagement is key to Dam Proud Day’s success, as is loudly proclaiming the achievements, contributions and momentum occurring throughout Oregon State University.
Donors have already given more than 175 challenge gifts to Dam Proud Day totaling $1 million. That’s more than we raised in our entire first annual day of giving day in 2019.
Please view this video to hear more about why I’m so excited for my first Dam Proud Day and to learn about the programs that my husband, Sanjay, and I will be supporting with two presidential Dam Proud Day challenges. You can also learn how you can help by making a gift of any size to support a program of your choice.
If you’re not sure where to give, please consider these three priorities:
Thank you in advance for your participation in Dam Proud Day. I am especially grateful to the OSU Foundation, as well as university leaders, faculty, staff and students, who have worked hard to make Dam Proud Day a very special occasion. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.
Sincerely,
Jayathi Y. Murthy
President
