Dear Corvallis students,

Hers is some information about campus conditions today, Saturday, January 13, 2024.

  • Campus and city roads/sidewalks are coated with ice and then covered with frozen rain, creating very slippery surface conditions.
  • Avoid driving until the icy rain has stopped and deicing treatment can be applied to the roads.
  • Minimize travel on campus.  Avoid walking on frozen grass and vegetation so it won’t be damaged.
  • Expect icy rain all day Saturday.   

Today

Freezing rain and rain. Ice accumulation of a tenth to one half of an inch. Highs in the lower 30s. North wind 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent. Rainfall amounts around one inch.

Tonight

Freezing rain, rain, sleet with a slight chance of snow in the evening, then sleet, rain, freezing rain likely with a chance of snow showers after midnight. Little or no snow accumulation. Ice accumulation of up to a tenth of an inch. Lows around 19. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
