From: Office of Institutional Diversity
Dear Oregon State community members:
The Office of Institutional Diversity is honored to invite you to the rescheduled Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Keynote Address with LaTosha Brown on Feb. 17, 2022 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the LaSells Stewart Center. Register for the free keynote address, to be delivered in person and via livestream.
Brown is the cofounder of the Black Voters Matter Fund and the BVM Capacity Building Institute, which works to expand voter access, particularly in the South and in rural locations. Brown is also the founding project director of Grantmakers for Southern Progress and a founding member of the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors’ Gulf Coast Fund for Community Renewal and Ecological Health.
As communicated previously, the original event was rescheduled from Jan. 17, as Brown traveled to Washington, D.C. and throughout the country to provide support for the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
Warm regards,
The 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee, Office of Institutional Diversity
