From: Student Health Services
Dear students,
Whether you are a new or returning student, our Student Health Services team wants to make sure you are aware of the important resources available to you on the Corvallis campus. Our Health Center, located at 850 SW 26th St., offers primary care and a variety of clinical services, plus we offer rapid care services in Tebeau Hall. Visit studenthealth.oregonstate.edu for information.
This year, we are making some improvements to make care more cost effective for many students, as we begin billing most major health insurance companies as an in-network provider for office visits and other medical services. Insurance benefits may be applied to laboratory tests, office procedures and other medical services resulting in an anticipated reduction in overall financial costs. Please visit beav.es/insurance for an update on in-network insurers; this web page will be updated as contracts are finalized.
Students should add their health insurance information to the patient portal at myhealth.oregonstate.edu. All students are strongly encouraged to have some form of health insurance. OSU Student Health offers an affordable health insurance plan, plus students without insurance may be eligible for the Oregon Health Plan.
Regardless of health insurance coverage, students will continue to have access to free birth control. Most domestic students are eligible for the Oregon ContraceptiveCare program (CCare), and all students can access free barrier methods of birth control. Visit beav.es/ccare for details.
Further, the student health fee will continue to cover services that are not billable (for example, standard nurse office visits, counseling, and all health promotion and education programming).
If you have questions regarding these changes, you may contact our student health insurance team at [email protected].
Thank you,
OSU Student Health Insurance Team
