Dear OSU-Cascades Students,

 

With the opening of Edward J. Ray Hall and the completion of the first phase of the former pumice mine reclamation, we are opening a second parking lot, accessible from a new entrance on Simpson Avenue.

 

Having two parking lots allows us to offer two pricing tiers to fit your budget and convenience needs. The fee for the new Simpson Ave. parking lot will maintain continuity with previous fees. The new fees will be in effect September 27.

 

  • Simpson Lot – $2.00 per day
  • Chandler-Century Lot – $4.00 per day

 

As you may already know, OSU policy requires us to charge for parking. Without parking fees, tuition would need to increase to cover the cost of parking lot maintenance and snow removal, unfairly burdening non-driving students. Additionally, parking fees have been shown to decrease the number of single-occupancy vehicles driving to campus, supporting our value of sustainability.
